Craft Skills - Monday 24th of September

For craft skills we got split in to 4 different groups. I was sorted into group D. The whole point of craft skills is to practice with the tech from the TI's. How to slate: Rules of Slatting: Always be positive Be professional and on time Be polite Listen Ask if you dont know Remember the chain of comand. Actors, directors and head of departments Be prepared for the weather Never say cut or action unless told so Always look busy - dont sit around Take lead from HOD Do not touch any gear that is not in your jurisdiction Apperance - turn up clean Own up to mistakes Saftey first Dont mess with the director Call the actors by there name not there characters Dont mess around with set radios Read the call sheets Be flexible and ready to work over time Be calm and collected Soak up everything and learn Stay out of the actors eyeline during takes. Week One Of Uni

The fist week of uni was interesting to say the least. Welcome Week was packed full of activities by both the course leaders and the uni itself. The lectures has us on a wild goose hunt with our newly found crew mates. We were led all over campus, in an attempt to get us to work together and to know each other. Funny thing is, it worked. Me and my crew, Crew S, got on like a house on fire. We all socialised and bonded over mutual loves of films, when it came to picking out favourite films for one of the tasks.
